The website that I think is really well designed is Pinterest. Serving as a digital vision board, it allows users to organize everything from recipes to fashion in neat, categorized boards. I like how the search bar moves down with you as you scroll down the page and how it features a drop down menu of all the official categories Pinterest has to offer. The drop down menu features a popular option which shows all of the most popular pins on the site. The home feed is just a continuous stream of content from people that you follow along with a smattering of pins by boards that Pinterest believes you might be interested in based on the content that you pin.

The site is interactive and allows users to comment on other’s pins, tag other users in pins they think might interest them, and send pins to other users through a type of direct messaging. While it can be a little bit overwhelming at first, Pinterest is very user-friendly. I like the way the personal profile page is set up because it’s easy to access everything. I also like the group board feature on the site that allows you to share a board with others and give them the ability to pin to the board as well. It makes it a lot easier to plan things like presentations, parties, and trips.

    Hey Jasmyne!
I’m have an unhealthy obsession with Pinterest, I love how I can easily get lost into each category and find so many new ideas! My favorite is the recipes and women’s fashion boards, I’m at 1.6 K pins and I’ve only had it for the past year or so!

I’m super new to Pinterest, since only joined once I became an RA. I love it’s got a wealth of ideas for programs and bulletin boards, and I agree with you about it being well-designed! I love the look of the site and how easy it is to find fun DIYs or recipes or anything else I’m looking for.

I’ve had it for almost four years and joining was one of the best decisions I have made! The layout is aesthetically pleasing, the features are user-friendly, and it’s made collaborating on ideas a breeze.
