I am going to create a website for Macedonian Music, which is a indie label my boyfriend is involved in. I thought it would be a good idea to practice my PR skills. The label was started by a local Dallas Artist named Tyler Harris and it consist of mainly Dallas and Louisiana artist. I feel they need more promotion and information about them online. They’re really big in Dallas and Louisiana but not so much anywhere else and hopefully this can expand their fan base. They have a lot of events and projects coming up so I feel a website for them is needed more than ever now.
My five pages will be:
- Background- how did they get started, history, who’s involved, everything that a person needs to know about the label overall
- Behind the music- This would be more like bloopers and unrelated music updates
- Upcoming events- where they will be appearing or performing next will be posted here
- Artist profiles- information on all the artist on the label and what they are up too
- Music- music that is already out or about to drop will be featured here as well as music videos
If I execute this right I feel it could give them an idea or direction to take for their online presence. Also, give existing fans a place to come and check up on them and see what they are up to. A website can make it easier then checking their social media page by page which can be time consuming. Everything is about convenience these days.
