Working with bootstrap, or the short period of time I have been introduced to bootstrap, is very exciting. I love that we finally have a chance to create a website like we are used to seeing, and that we have the opportunity to work with our hobbies. My main hobby outside of school is music. I love going out to live concerts, collecting music, and performing on vocals and guitar.
For the third project I am continuing to work on a blog website I have created in my spare time called Musician Edition. This is a page I created that combines journalism with literature in my own special brand of live performance review. I have read many reviews of concerts that have left me unfulfilled, mainly articles where the writer focuses on their like or dislike of the artist and their performance. What is the point of that opinion, I ask? When you go to see an artist you like, you will have a great time. When you go to see an artist you don’t know much about, you may be pleasantly surprised. When you go to see a band you know you don’t like, writing a biased performance review of that concert is a waste of everyone’s time. I enjoy turning a performance review into a narrative, like a short story.
The first page on the new Musician Edition will be live performance reviews. Having the requirement of adding additional pages is something that I have meant to do to this blog, but never came around to it. I spend a lot of time, and money, on collecting music. The second page will focus on reviews of vinyl records. I want to focus on vintage records as opposed to new releases of vinyl records. Again, it is my goal to spark people’s interest in vinyl and want to choose records from my collection that are interesting, and that I enjoy listening to. I have no desire to spend my time writing about an album I do not enjoy. Producing negative material is not something I personally want to do.
The third page I will include will cover cassette tape reviews. I have a love for cassette tape. It was the first format of music that was truly portable! Previously if you wanted to have portable music your only option was to take a suitcase sized record player that usually played 45rpm records, or a reel to reel player. These were large and heavy. When the portable cassette player came around, it transformed radio. Automobiles now could include a means for a driver to choose the album they wanted to listen to. There were 8-track tapes previously, but 8-track tapes could not be rewound and required the listener to play the album in a continuous loop.
The fourth page will showcase portable cassette players. I love these, and want to show cool players I have collected. I will review these products.
The fifth page will cover digital! The modern era. Not only compact discs, but also mp3 and streaming albums. You may not be aware that Alkek Library has many albums available to stream online for free.
I am excited to start working on all of this content, and hopefully this will be a website I can maintain into the future.

I really like your idea! I play the violin so I totally get the music thing. I love going to live shows and finding out about new bands and artists. It sounds like you know a lot about this stuff, too, which is really cool.
