For project three, I will be creating a site focused on hill country breweries. The site will be called Hill Country Beerologist. Thankfully, I created a newsletter over this topic in one of my other classes, so I will have most the content I created laid out. I picked this topic because it really interest me. Not only is craft beer continually gaining popularity, but the Hill Country are some of the main distributors in Texas. Austin and Houston alone are voted in the top 10 for “best cities for beer lovers.” I love this movement, not only the brewing but the idea that, for most people it’s been a lifelong dream for them to open their brewery.

My site will have five pages. 1) Will consist of the home page, which will give my title, navigation, index and a intro to my site. 2) Here is where the Fall Events page will be. This page will discuss what events breweries are doing this season. 3) Page three will be titled New Brews. This will have a list of fall seasonal beers, which will include the popular Oktoberfest. 4) Brewery Tours will be my fourth page. Here will be a list of locations, dates, times and other information needed to tour your favorite brewery. 5) The last page will give a look into, “Where Are Craft Breweries Headed.” This will go in depth to where breweries are headed and what challenges they face.

I’ve just recently been getting more into craft beer and learning more about how they’re made and the differences between different kinds. You’re so right, this movement is getting bigger and bigger, and Austin is one of the best places to be for it. The PR firm I intern with has Adelbert’s Brewery as a client, which is a local brewery in North Austin. Working with them more has gotten me more interested in the whole process. And plus, who doesn’t like a good beer, right?
