It appears that fashion bloggers are starting to take over the world. No matter how much we fight it, new fashion blogs pop up every day. It’s easy to hate fashion bloggers- they travel and dress up and take photos of themselves for a living. Hello, that’s the dream!! I am not ashamed to admit that I am obsessed with a handful of bloggers, one of them being Julia Engel from Gal Meets Glam.

Her and her husband work on making their site pretty with nice features and photos and I love logging on everyday to see what new outfit Julia is wearing.

My favorite part of the website’s design is how simple and easy it is to navigate. The site loads fast and is responsive on my phone. There are no huge ads popping up in my face and the search tool is easy to find. And it’s so pretty! The one thing that will get me to exit out of a page is if the site is ugly. Sure, maybe the content is great! But, if it’s displeasing to the eye, I don’t want to read any of it. It’s sad, but true.

Gal Meets Glam’s background is a light shade of pink with all of the content in black writing with a white background. It’s easy to read.

Another great thing about the site is that it is focusing on the clothes. There are large photos highlighting each outfit that make the blog fun to look at and not at all boring.

Another great thing you’ll see in the image above, is that no matter how you move around on the site, her social media links follow you. It’s not even annoying and barely noticeable, but when it is noticed, I think it makes a huge difference.

One thing I would change about the site is the size of her font on each post. It’s too small compared to the large photos and can make it hard to read at times.

Hey Kelsey! I am not usually one to look at fashion blog sites, but the layout of this site is pretty interesting. It is easy to navigate, and the extra visual aspects make it even more appealing. I also like the basic fonts and colors this site uses because it allows the content to be the eye catcher, which is good for marketing purposes. I do not know how most fashion sites are set-up, but this is site I would visit again.
