One website I think really stands out from others for its design is Pinterest. I think Pinterest is broken down into 36 categories used for simple browsing and a home feed to view your individual interest. Users are not limited to just these 36 categories, there is also a search bar so you can narrow your search or go outside of the categories. When a user finds a pin they are interest in they can like it, save it or send it. Liking will send that pin to your likes board, and when you save a pin you can designate which board it is going to. Users can also follow friends, companies, or topics in general. In my opinion this makes Pinterest more desirable and fun. Pinterest is very user friendly, well organized and visually beautiful which is why I think it is well-designed.
