HELLO, My name is Morgan!
I am taking this course, as I’m sure many others are, to satisfy an advanced elective for my Mass Communications degree. Of Course there were many other options when I chose this particular course, but something about Web Publication & Design spoke to that little curious part of my brain while registering. Now that class has begun I am pleasantly surprised with the amount of new information I will receive. It is sometimes rare to leave a college course with an entirely new skill set. I have very limited knowledge of coding or HTML and am then excited to observe my progress with something so foreign.
As for a bit about me, I am currently a senior and proud bobcat at Texas State University. I anticipate to graduate in December 2015, with a degree in advertising, as well as a minor in English. Upon graduation I plan to return to my family in either Houston or Louisiana. My relationships are of most importance in my life, probably starting with my hilariously brilliant younger brother, Mitchell.
I mainly excel in areas that call for creativity and pride myself for my imagination. A crowded room would definitely be my ideal atmosphere, as I thoroughly enjoy simply interacting with others. I maintain a busy lifestyle, but oddly enough, am unmistakably easy going.
New experiences and Interesting people are what I thrive on. My friends may sometimes refer to me as a tad odd, but I happily welcome the notion. Art, Philosophy, reading, dance, music and performance, are just a few of my passions. I do not seem to master in one particular area, but more so enjoy exploring and growing in multiple.
Many of my interests can be somewhat contradictory, as I have an open mind and a wide range of hobbies. I strive to live life in a way that not one day is too similar to another. I am a complex human, made up of many paradoxes, but by some miracle, have crafted a lifestyle to maintain the dysfunction.
As lame as it may be, a site I regularly visit would have to be Pinterest. I mainly utilize this site on my phone, for simple art inspiration, cooking, or to pass the time if I find myself without a book. I love that it’s a constant stream of serendipity, catered to your specific interests. You can click on something that strikes you and it will take you to a new aimless feed to explore. This process can be repeated until your thumbs and eyes grow sore. It is wildly entertaining for those who suffer a short attention span or ADD.
You seem super creative and that portrait is really great! You have a great style of writing and it’s easy to read. Good luck on graduation!
I agree with Samuel (^^), such a great self portrait! Very impressive. “Pleasantly creepy” is a good way to describe it. You seem super smart and creative. I, too, love Pinterest. I honestly don’t know what I would do without it! Probably never make a decent meal, that’s for sure.
