This has been one of my favorite classes so far. I would say that my favorite assignments were Project One and Two; I had some background knowledge of HTML and CSS, but had never put it to use like I did in this class. I really enjoyed creating my own website, and think that it is really valuable. It really opened my eyes to the necessity of creating an online presence and portfolio, and has kind of served as an online resume for me. It is really nice to have some evidence when I say that I like to code, and this website and subdomain is a really cool way of archiving my assignments and projects in a public place, so that people and potential employers can see what I’ve created and who I am all in one place.

I struggled a little bit with CSS since it was sort of new to me, and also a little bit with Bootstrap. Bootstrap was definitely fun for me, and helped me take my coding to the next level, but I wish that we had more time to work on it. It felt kind of rushed, but I’m glad that we did end up having a time extension because I definitely needed it.

I hope to continue studying CSS since we only sort of touched on it and I didn’t really get to dive deep into studying. I also want to learn more about Bootstrap. It seems like a really cool tool, but I feel like my project only allowed enough time to use the basic template and only change a few things. If I got to understand Bootstrap better, I feel like I could really manipulate the existing code to create something great and unique.

CSS was something I struggled with too. I hope I can learn how to understand it more in the future.
