What’s up guys, my name is Tyler Solis and I am majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Economics. I am 20 years old; born in Houston, Texas, but grew up in Brazoria, Texas; and a junior here at Texas State University. I am currently on the Texas State Wakeboard team. My hobbies include wake boarding out at TSR and any lake I can get a boat on; listening to most music, preferably Hip-Hop/Rap and hanging with friends. I also really like the Philadelphia Eagles,
I am taking this class because I have to for my major, but I actually really enjoy coding, blogs, etc. In High School I took as many computer classes as I could to learn about computers. Apparently I have forgotten a lot, but I’m catching back up. I hope to better my coding skills, photoshop skills and everything that comes in-between. In the public relations field, like others jobs as well, the more experience you have behind a computer will only help out your resume. So this class will definitely give us an advantage.
One website I visit more than any, at least everyday, is ESPN. That might just be because I love sports and really enjoy reading about stats and sport news, but I do really like how they have the site set up. ESPN makes it super easy to navigate to each different sport, article and whatever else you would like to do there. The option to set your favorite teams so that each team will have their most recent score on the home page definitely is a plus. ESPN has so much to offer between each different sport that it covers. I like other sites like NFL.com, but that site only covers the NFL. ESPN is just an all-around good site.
