After taking the troubleshooting assessment, I realized how closely we have to pay attention to detail when it comes to coding. I realized that I was pretty good at fixing the problems because I am a perfectionist. I went to each html page and made sure each of the content matched up. When I had thought I was done and figured everything out, I realized there was still something I missed. Sometimes our problems are more than just closing tags and inputting the right file names. Every code has a place. CSS is still the hardest part for me because sometimes it works correctly for me and sometimes it doesn’t. There’s just still so much to learn.
I just found a really cool site called Kahn Academy. I love it because they have video tutorials on the left side of the screen and on the ride it shows how the finished product would look. Underneath all that, people leave tips and comments and Khan even answers peoples’ questions! It also breaks everything down in tabs so you can click on whatever you are looking for and need help with. The website is used for a lot of other subjects too – not just computer programming stuff so I thought it was really neat.
