We have covered a lot of material so far this semester, and I feel comfortable with pretty much everything in HTML. I got to get some experience with it last semester in FDOM, so I think that really helped me out for this class. The only thing that I was not entirely familiar with was CSS, which is something that I have had to study a little bit more since it is new to me, but it is still fun and I’m starting to get the hang of it!
One website that has helped me develop my website has beenĀ HTML Dog. This website has tutorials for HTML, CSS, and Javascript, in beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Most of the things that we have talked about involving HTML have been in the beginner section (like headings, lists, images, links, etc.), but I look forward to getting into some more advanced topics. This website has examples of each type of code, with links to an HTML page showing how that code would display, which has been very helpful.
I feel the same way about CSS, I’m still not 100% sure about what we have covered. For the most part I am beginning to understand what is going on. I think that CSS is really cool though because I like seeing the changes being made when I refresh. I haven’t checked out HTML Dog, but it sounds like a really great place to get help! Maybe I’ll check it out next time that I have questions.
I find CSS to be pretty interesting.. Like I said in my post, I like to think of it like a puzzle. I’ve been working with coding since my senior year of high school so that really helped me with this class. Its good that a lot of the codes are similar. It’s just a matter of switching out some words and phrases. Having sites like HTML Dog definitely makes everything so much smoother.
