I plan to build a bootstrap website for my sorority. Mu Epsilon Theta is the national Catholic sorority and began at UT in 1987 by three Catholic women. The Beta chapter at Texas State was founded in 1996 and we have chapters and charters at UNT, in Arizona, and California. We have three pillars: sisterhood, service and spirituality. Our sisterhood welcomes all women, not matter their religious background. I pledged in the fall of 2013 with the Phi class and have since then held several positions. Currently, I am the vice president on our executive board. If it weren’t for this group of women, I probably would’ve suffered from mental illness my second semester in college. The sisterhood has helped me grow so much as a woman.

So, for the website I plan on providing the following information on the Beta chapter in five pages: home and the history; the pillars; symbols; the executive board; and a contact page. We have a website but it is currently under construction so maybe this could help serve women who are interested or even help families better understand what the sorority stands for.

That’s great! I’m glad you are getting the chance the help an organization that helped you! I am doing the same thing for my fraternity, Omega Delta Phi, I was thinking of using it to direct it towards alumni and also for recruitment purposes.

GO MU EP! I’m super excited to see your site because we are covering the same organization, but both have different angles for our pages. There’s so much Mu Ep has to offer, and people have no idea how fast it’s growing. (Plus… Mu Ep made us friends!)
