For our iMovie project, Elise and I decided to tackle dating apps. With technological advances in mobile devices, dating has slightly strayed away from its traditional forms and we were interested to see if our peers felt the apps were affecting dating culture. We asked about personal experiences, reasons to use or not to use such apps, and if they think this method of meeting people is negatively affecting dating culture. I think what initially sparked in my mind when we were assigned this project was the art student who had put on a display earlier this semester using her body and Chick-Fil-A to show how “fast” dating has become among our generation.
