I thought the class quiz was a lot of fun, because I’ve always liked fixing things. I think of it as a challenge to be completed in a certain amount of time. I like challenges. I took Becks’ advice, where I correct one error on an .html page and just copy/paste it onto every other page that needs it. I probably missed some things on the quiz that were related to the .css, but sometimes it’s the subtle things that you’ll miss. I don’t blame you. I noticed I still don’t feel comfortable with .css, but that’s something I can overcome with practice and 1 hour.

Codewars is a website that I looked into. While it might not be as mainstream as codeacademy, it still challenges you to learn HTML5, but treats it as a game where you level up. Video games have always piqued my interest and I think this is another creative way of learning a new skill set. My recommendation? Dedicate time to computer science or graphic design. Businesses are looking for new ways to reach their audience/consumer. Nowadays, that would be through the Internet, and every business needs a great website. Why shouldn’t you be the one to build them a unique one instead of a cookie-cutter site from WIX?

While reading your post and noticing which website you choose when needing help, it seems really interesting. The thought to think of it as a game really made me think. When playing those games we move on to the next level by completing a certain task from the previous one. During the process you are getting familiar with the game and bettering your skills. Same with the HTML coding and CSS properties, every Monday, Wednesday and sometimes Friday are advancing each class.

Don’t knock Codecademy until you try it. It’s mainstream for a reason! I am pretty excited to try out Codewars. Coolmathgames.com got me through a lot of math tests in elementary school. Hopefully, this website will have the same effect.

I’ve never heard of Codewars! I am definitely excited to use it to help strengthen my skills. I never thought of there being some kind of game to test coding, so I think it’s a brilliant idea. I love playing games, so thanks for sharing this website!
