So far my experience in coding has been a bit confusing at times but over all I’ve already learned a lot. The class sessions go too fast sometimes because it’s a lot of information but only a 50 minute class so I consistently feel behind. I came into this class with no former knowledge of coding but eager to gain the skill because I view it as an important quality in my field. My major is Public Relations and part of that career is being able to wear many different hats, including webdesign.

I personally like the website Pinterest; I visit it daily via lap top or the app on my phone. I like it for it’s content as well ass design. It’s a virtual magazine customized to your interest. The color scheme is simple; red, gray, white and black. This allows the pins themselves be what pops out to the user. The vertical scroll is effective on the both mobile smart phones and computers. The homepage is constantly updating because it’s user generated. Here’s a screen shot of my current homepage.

CSS is a challenge for me also! Definitely very fun, though. Pinterest is a great pick! Love their pin board/magazine style; flows perfectly with their content.

I understand the challenges you are facing! At first I felt like I really understood HTML, but once we switched to CSS I found myself really having to put in a lot of effort to keep up. I feel like it will definitely be worth it in the end, though.
