My experience with coding thus far has been pretty great but only because I took FDOM this Summer. If I hadn’t, I would be completely lost! Now that we are getting more into CSS, I’m having a hard time remembering what things are called. Other than that, coding is easier than I expected so far. I expect things will start getting a little chaotic so I won’t get cocky.

Two websites that I visit often, mostly because content, would be DesignLoveFest and The Beauty Department. Both are quite similar so I couldn’t really decide which one to do. They are both beauty and lifestyle blogs. I like how simple they keep everything. The use of white backgrounds helps emphasize the content (aka pictures).

My favorite part about The Beauty Department’s blog is the navigation. I don’t know how, but that’s what I want my navigation to look like. #DreamBig

I have a feeling that things will begin to get more chaotic also! I can’t believe I’ve never heard of these sites, love their content and clean design.

I really like the color scheme for “The Beauty Department” page, the pastels make it very feminine which is appropriate for the context of it’s content. I haven’t take FDOM yet, I plan to this coming summer session. I hope this class helps me to prepare and that I stay on track.

I learned coding in FDOM as well. I am nervous about CSS, but i think with a little practice it will come easier. I love the web pages you chose, both simple yet sophisticated.

I definitely agree that taking FDOM has helped me with this course as well. Learning the basics of HTML from that course has come in handy so far. I really like The Beauty Department’s website. The colors are so pretty and clean at the same time. I also like how their social media accounts are big and at the top for ease to those visiting their site. The navigation bar is very nice as well, and I like the amount of categories that they have.

I like the simplicity of those websites too. They’re so simple, yet have a lot of character. I like how the white back ground brings out the color in the pictures too. Definitely going to go check out these websites, they look so cute.
