I wanted to sign up for this class as soon as I read the name because I had just finished taking computer science and fell in love with html coding. I was quite optimistic the first couple days of class as we talked about what our first project would be like and what we would work on in the future. Obviously as class went on things got a little more complicated to figure out and there were times were I grew frustrated, but I feel like when class are challenging, AND it’s something you enjoy, the work becomes more bearable.
My favorite assignment was probably just getting to build our own website from scratch. Not just the appearance of it, but dealing with the backbones of a website; the features that make things do the things they do, and learning about how to make things work the way we want them to was extremely useful. I definitely struggled with the bootstrap assignment! I don’t know why I wasn’t able to do things easily like I was able to in the assignments previous to that one, but I figured it out!
I would love to continue learning more about html to the point where I’m probably going to take online classes about coding and just teach myself more about it in general by looking things up. I want to build an entire website on my own that looks, and works great, so maybe I can do it for other companies. At least I kinda know where to start now!
