I wasn’t expecting this semester to end so quickly and I wasn’t expecting to learn so much. I liked that this class gives you actual material to show employers. It’s one of those courses that is geared toward actual skill building. I wish all mass comm courses were built in this way rather than a million tests and quizes. I feel weird saying Mrs. Larson, but Becky did a great job at informing us to any schedule changes and actually worked along side us. I would take this instructer again.
One thing I did wish I had more of a grasp on was CSS. We spent such a long time in HTML but I don’t feel like I have a grasp on CSS enough. I’m the type of person that needs to learn how it works for it to click in my head and apply it. I was never quite sure how to code our CSS from the ground up. My note on that would be, we downloaded a CSS document the first time we messed with any styling and we just did minor changes to it. When it came time to write out my own I was a tad lost on how classes and Divs actually worked because we didn’t spend much time on it and we had to made changes to an already formatted style sheet before. I wish we would have taken more time on CSS.
I think the class was great and I enjoyed it. Becky is such a great professor and I hope she continues after grad school.
