I really enjoyed this class. I had worked with basic HTML before in another class but never really had the chance to go in-depth or apply it in a way that was fun for me. It’s hard to say what my favorite assignments were because building any webpage, I thought, was fun. Learning how to create a CSS stylesheet and responsive code was probably the most important thing I feel I learned though. I can always expand my knowledge of HTML but having a good base knowledge for CSS and being able to make pages responsive, I think, is really important.
My biggest struggle this semester was working with Bootstrap. I felt like it was such a mess to get the code to be responsive and work the way I wanted it to. There were so many files that needed to link together and small pieces of code that had to be perfect that it was such a headache to get the pages the way I wanted. Bootstrap looks beautiful when it is finished and I understand why people use it but I felt like it took way to much time to get one little thing right.
I really hope to keep learning more about coding because I know it’s a great skill to have. I will probably learn a bit on my own, but since I’m graduating this semester it would also be awesome if I got a job that could teach me a little bit as well.
Bootstrap was such a struggle for me, too! There’s just so much you have to do on your end to make it look right and the amount of hours in a day do not make it possible when you’re busy.
