A site whose design I immediately fell in love with is a website called Medium.  According to their website Medium is

“a new place on the Internet where people share ideas and stories that are longer than 140 characters and not just for friends. It’s designed for little stories that make your day better and manifestos that change the world. It’s used by everyone from professional journalists to amateur cooks. It’s simple, beautiful, collaborative, and it helps you find the right audience for whatever you have to say.”

As a writer I’m always looking for places that allow me the opportunity to read more content and publish my own. Medium makes itself really user-friendly upon first logging in with your Twitter or account or email. You pick from a range of topics that you’re interested in and Medium gathers stories for your feed that address those topics.

Apart from its clean, minimalist layout Medium makes it really easy as a writer to just focus on your words. Formatting for any kind of device is taken care of by Medium and everything you write adjusts to any screen size.

Medium is also very collaborative, allowing users to
highlight and comment on the sections of other people’s posts that they find most interesting. It’s a great platform for any kind of writer in any stage of their writing career. There’s very little flash and pizazz, Medium is just focused on the content and that’s what I really enjoy.
