Hello everyone! My name is Jasmyne. I am a senior General Mass Communication major and Business Administration minor. As an army brat, I was used to being uprooted every two years to move to a new destination. However, ever since my dad retired in 2006, I have been able to call Cibolo, Texas my hometown which is an experience that I have never had and greatly appreciate.

We have come to a point in time where just being able to write a decent article is not good enough. Employers are looking for potential employees who are competent in all facets of the media and I believe taking this course will help me with that. I have dabbled a little with HTML from taking FDOM sophomore year, but I hope this course will help go more in depth into the language that is coding.

Buzzfeed is honestly my favorite site to go to. I pretty much visit the site on a daily basis. The layout is crisp (if that makes sense). I like how it’s simple, but interesting. It’s kind of chaotic and jam-packed full of content, but still tidy at the same time. And where else can you go to read about the upcoming presidential election and take a quiz to figure out which Game of Thrones character you should marry?

I have a lot of friends whose dad’s were in the military and moved around a lot. I love hearing all their stories of places they’ve lived around the US and the world. Where all have you lived?

Well I was born in Okinawa, Japan. I don’t remember anything from there, sadly, because we were only there for a year, but hopefully I’ll be able to go back to visit. From there, we moved to Ft. Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Arizona; Mannheim, Germany; Ft. Bliss in El Paso, Texas; Yongsan Garrison in Seoul, South Korea; Honolulu, Hawaii; Ft. Monmouth in Eatontown, New Jersey and then to Cibolo. I’m used to moving about every two years so it’s weird to be in one place for what I consider a long time. Honestly, I still get kind of jittery and feel like packing up everything and traveling to a new place. My upbringing definitely caused my wanderlust, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Buzzfeed is one of my favorite sites too. I really like that it touches on so many topics and I’m a little addicted to the try guy videos, because they really are just hilarious!

Buzzfeed is my ultimate dream job! I like how it’s not boring like other news sites. I can actually sit down and read an article and enjoy reading it. And I am equally addicted to the Try Guy videos!
